At Ronningen Roofing we strive to be the best at everything we do. Thats why we feel its extremely important to have all of our shingle applicators trained to install each and every product. Most manufactuers have their own unique programs and classes to educate contractors. Only a small percentage of contractors are eligible for these programs due to the manufactuers strict guidelines.

Ronningen Roofing is proud to annouce that a Preferred Contractor for Owens Corning shingles, a Select ShingleMaster company for CertainTeed shingles, and a Certified Weather Stopper Roofing contractor for GAF/ELK shingles. What this means to our customers is the option of very attractive extended warranties from the manufactuers. Shingle warranties are often misunderstood. Just because a shingle has a 25, 30, 40, or 50 year warranty does not mean you are fully covered. Lets take a 30 year shingle for instance and breakdown a standard warranty:

What you have is a 30 year limited warranty and what that means is after 5 years of life the warranty drops off; all labor cost, all material costs except the shingle, and all disposal costs. All of those cost are now not covered. In fact the only part of the warranty left is the shingles and they are pro-rated by the month.

Example:
If your shingles wear out and fall apart during year 15 of a 30 year warranty you would be paid half the cost of the shingles the day they were bought 15 years ago, thats it. Obviously if the shingles were older you'd receive even less, etc.

Many contractors don't carry the credentials we do and are not able to offer these great extended warranties. They won't talk about extended warranties or how poor a standard warranty is. When you choose Ronningen Roofing we will talk about warranties and you will receive an extended warranty that works for you. Each company has their own unique extended warranty program with different levels to chose from. Now lets take a 30 year shingle for instance again and breakdown an extended warranty:

You still have the 30 year limited warranty but now all of your of the costs of the entire roofing job are covered through the first 20 years. This is 100% coverage for replacement of the entire roofing system in the event of a shingle failure. After the 20 years is up than its back to the basic extended warranty. Lifetime shingles installed by Ronningen Roofing will carry a 50 year non pro-rated warranty, the same as just described except for a full 50 years.
